THE HEART
BEHIND THE LENS.

I began photographing families, captivated by the quiet ways love shows up between people and weddings felt like a natural extension of that work.
At their core, they’re family stories too.

On a wedding day, those stories unfold in small, powerful ways: a hand on your shoulder before walking down the aisle, a shared glance across a crowded room, the people who raised you standing beside the person you’re choosing. I’m drawn to these moments because they hold the heart of the day from the relationships, history, and emotions that brings everyone together.

Michelle

Hi there, I'm

I’m a visual storyteller drawn to real connection and lived-in moments.

My perspective is shaped by the love I experience in my own life: in my partnership with my husband, my closeness with family, my friendships, and in the couples who trust me to document their celebrations. I approach each wedding with presence and care, creating photographs that feel both artful and honest. Images that reflect not just how your day looked, but how it truly felt.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me exploring new coffee shops, going on brewery dates with my husband, catching live music, enjoying spa days with my childhood best friends, or camping under the stars.

Growing up in the Bay Area taught me to appreciate culture through food, family gatherings, and community celebrations. That curiosity shapes how I work. I take the time to understand your story, honor your heritage and what matters most to you, and document your day with intention, artistry, and presence.

I’m there to witness your wedding weekend as it naturally unfolds. Holding space for the joy-filled celebrations and the quiet moments in between. From welcome gatherings to the wedding day itself, every laugh, shared glance, and detail chosen with care deserves to be thoughtfully documented. This is your full story, preserved from start to finish, just as it felt.

MY INSPIRATION

Storytelling through emotion

I’m drawn to the quiet gestures that carry the most meaning. The way your mom holds your hand as she buttons your dress, a steady touch on your shoulder during the ceremony, an embrace that says everything without a single word. These honest moments often speak more deeply than anything posed.

They reveal how love shows up, how it’s shared, and who is holding you through it all.

Natural Light

Light shapes the way a wedding day is experienced and remembered. Warm sun, soft overcast skies, candlelit tables, and the glow of a full dance floor each carry their own mood. I’m always attentive to how light shifts throughout the day, using it thoughtfully to support the emotion, energy, and atmosphere of your celebration.

Old Photographs

Vintage family photographs have always stayed with me. They value feeling over perfection, memory over polish, and preserve real life with soul. That sensibility continues to shape my work today, guiding me toward images that feel honest and enduring rather than overly refined.

Years from now, what will matter most isn’t technical perfection, but that your photographs still make you feel something.

"Everyone told us how in love we looked on our wedding day and for first the time, from the outside perspective, thanks to Michelle, I was able to see what everyone else had seen. I had never seen pictures of myself and thought “wow I look so beautiful”, but I truly did feel so gorgeous. Her presence, energy and heart really lets people shine and be themselves which is where pictures get their beauty."
